In our limited exploration @crocketcreek, we've come across several plots that appear to be spring feed, as they seem to produce green grass despite drought conditions. One such plot (common reference, the Heirloom Plot is down near the creek bed. It is semi-shaded, and out of the wind to a large degree. There are overhanging oaks and other trees that appear to be 50-100 years old, and thus create a very high ceiling which will not deter plant growth by and means. My initial thoughts are to plant several semi-shaded herbs in said plot, tending to them as necessary, but largely allowing them to grow/produce freely. Tobacco is my primary thought at this point, and I have begun to accumulate research as to what strains/species we would be able to effectively grow in this area. Thoughts about plant species that would be effective in this area? Any questions about the soil-type or the plot itself?
